60th Anniversary Club Car

The Phoenix, Turnbow & Apache Railroad is well know for it's coal drag operation. 2009 marked the Thunderbird Model Railroad Club's 60th year of continuous operation as Arizona's oldest model railroad club. To celebrate this momentous occasion the PT&A management created a commemorative design to add to their 3 Bay Hopper.  The Thunderbird Model Railroad Club is offering these Accurail® cars as either a kit or ready-to-run (quantity 1).

Assembled RTR 3 Bay Hopper

The assembled Thunderbird Model RR Club 60th Anniversary Car is an HO Scale Accurail® 7500 Series AAR Offset Triple Hopper. These cars are fully assembled with the Phoenix, Turnbow & Apache logo plus the 60 Years of Service logo, and include a coal load. In addition cars also feature metal wheelsets, Kadee® couplers, brake system components with piping and levers, slope-sheet end braces, fine stirrup steps, interior details, hidden weights, and light weathering.

60th Anniversary 3 Bay Hopper Unassembled Kit

The unassembled Thunderbird Model RR Club 60th Anniversary Car is the same Accurail® 7500 Series AAR Offset Triple Hopper. These easy-to-build HO Scale plastic car kits feature a one-piece body with details molded in place. Cars are painted black with white lettering and feature the Phoenix, Turnbow & Apache logo plus the 60 Years of Service logo. In addition cars also feature Accurails®, brake system components with piping and levers, slope-sheet end braces, fine stirrup steps, interior details, hidden weights, nonmagnetic axles and the coupler pockets accepts Kadee® No. 5 couplers. Coal loads are not included in the kits.
